This paper documents what graphene is and its unique properties, showcasing howthese properties related to innovation and entrepreneurship in green renewableenergy. First, I discuss the increasing global demand for energy and howgraphene can be a problem solver. Demonstrating how Ultracapacitors can storeand deliver energy in very short time, thus making them most suitable for highpower density applications. Furthermore, a combination of Ultracapacitors andtraditional batteries is identified as the most cost effective and reliable solutionfor applications where lifecycle and reliability are paramount. Applications of thismaterial and technology include regenerative braking in electric and hybridvehicles, energy balancing for the power grid, storage for Solar and Wind andGeothermal plants, hydraulic and actuator systems requiring high power densities.I will also show how graphene indicates promise of storing large quantities ofrenewable electrical energy. Finally I will explore some of the new research beingconducted and new products.
