Holding Capacity of Suction Caisson Anchor in Uniform Clays Based on Finite Element Analysis

The foundations of offshore structures have been actively studied toprovide design guides for oil platforms. Recently, techniques developedfor the oil industry have found new applications in the design of thefoundations for offshore wind turbines. The main scope of this paper isto analyze the hold capacity of suction caisson anchors, and thereforeprovides guides in estimating the capacities of suction caisson anchorsunder inclined loads.
