Application of EARSM for Prediction of Ship Hydrodynamic Performances

摘要

In this study, EARSM (Explicit Algebraic Reynolds Stress Model)which is based on the existing k-ε model has been applied to the flowfield analysis around ship hulls. Existing transport equations for theturbulent kinetic energy and the dissipation rate are used as nearly sameform and anisotropy terms of Reynolds stresses are newly considered inthe formulation. Target hull forms for a validation are selected as wellknownKVLCC2 and KCS. In case of KVLCC2 double model,comparison of mean velocity distribution, turbulent kinetic energy, andReynolds stresses near the propeller plane has been carried out andwave elevation and wave profiles have been additionally studied forKCS with free surface models.
