Internal faults in distribution switchgear-modelling, implementation and testing of new switchgear designs

摘要

The internal fault qualification of new distribution switchgear designs is well established internationally. Different manufacturers have responded in various ways to achieve the required performance. This paper presents one manufacturer's approach in respect of modelling, design and testing. The requirements of national codes and international standards are also considered.
