Extension of TV Input Framework Component to Support TV Content Recommendations in Android O Environment

摘要

This paper represents the extension of TV Input Framework component, with support for recommendation of live TV content in the home screen application on Android Oreo platform. TV content that is presented to user is live broadcasted HLS TV channel. Recommended content, besides its basic content, includes: a video that is used for quick view inside the content - “Preview Video”, and last watched content in the “Watch Next” channel. For realization of this work we used TV Input application that supports retrieval and playback of TV content.
