This paper presents an MSA (Measurement System Analysis) for a system which measures distances with video cameras. Distance measurements with video cameras are often used in robotic systems. In our system the robotic system is a sun tracker. To test the robustness of the measurement system, the distance was measured at different color temperatures of the light source, to see if the change in color temperature makes an influence on the accuracy of the measurements. Six Sigma methods were used to determine if the error in the measurement is high or low. The Six Sigma methods were implemented by creating plots with the Minitab statistical software.
