We demonstrate a direct microwave frequency synthesis chain for the cesium beam atomic clock based on optical pumping with excellent performance in phase noise characteristics. The center of the output frequency synthesis chain is 9.192 GHz. We developed a frequency synthesis chain from 10 MHz to 9.192 GHz with two phase-locked loops. The absolute phase noise performances of the 9.192 GHz signal are -63.7, -75.7, -107.1, and -122.5 dBc/Hz at 1 Hz, 10 Hz, 1 kHz and 10 kHz offset frequency, respectively, which fully meets the requirement of frequency synthesis in cesium beam atomic clock.
