HYBRID SIMULATION OF MOBILE BUSINESS PROCESSES

摘要

A sustainable integration of mobile devices, especially smartphones and tablet pc, into day-to-day business requires an adaption or a redesign of the underlying business processes. The redesign should focus the efficient and effective usage of the mobile devices used by the mobile executing authorities in the business processes. The dynamically changing situations of the executing authorities and the impact on the usage of the mobile devices have to be considered in the redesign of the business processes. Methods for the analysis of the efficient and effective usage of mobile devices in business processes are missing. The presented approach enhances the existing conventional simulative analysis of a business process by the possibility to simulate specific task executions of mobile executing authorities in reality. This improves the analysis of business processes, in which mobile executing authorities are supported by mobile devices in their task execution.
