THE IMPACT OF PRIVATIZATION POLICY ON THE PERFORMANCE OF AGRICULTURAL GOVERNMENT SCHEMES IN RIVER NILE STATE, SUDAN

摘要

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of privatization on the Agricultural sector. Design/methodology/approach: A before/after approach was used to examine the changes in the general trend of crop areas, crop intensity, assets and employees. Findings: (ⅰ) A remarkable deterioration of area planted by crops and crop intensities (ⅱ) Imposing privatization led to an obvious reduction in the number of employees (ⅲ) An increase in the debts of the agricultural schemes. Originality/value: The approach and the resulting framework are original and valuable to evaluate privatization.
