Decoupling Compensation for a Dual Input Dual Output Servo System in Mobile Sat-com Antennas

Mobile sat-com (satellite communication) antenna (MSCA) servo systems are dual input and dual output (DIDO) linear systems with highly coupling in high frequency range. This type of coupling makes these systems very difficult to achieve high accuracy tracking performance by using a traditional control strategy. A generalized Kalman-Yacubovitch-Popov (GKYP) lemma based frequency response shaping compensation is utilized to suppress the high frequency resonance caused by the coupling between two shafts of these servo systems. Simulations as well as experiments verify the effectiveness of the decoupling design.
