When the carbon brush fault is serious, it even causes the collector ring and slip ring chamber to catch fire. Generator units will also be forced to shut down, which will stop the power production process and affect the safety and stability of the power industry. The brush online monitoring and fault diagnosis system based on multi-source information fusion described in this paper can not only collect brush status and related equipment information, but also analyze and give brush fault results. On line monitoring of carbon brush can grasp the operation of carbon brush in real time, avoid the discontinuity of manual measurement of carbon brush temperature and current, and solve the problems existing in the process of manual inspection of power system. As a comprehensive process of multi-source information fusion, information fusion has its complexity. In this paper, through the design and testing of the monitoring system, after three rounds of testing, each test time is one minute, the transmission success rate basically meets the demand of more than 95%.
