In this paper, a technique is proposed to achieve the circularly polarized radiations in the dielectric resonator (DR) antenna. An arc-shaped DR element is applied at the periphery of the half cylindrical DR to obtain the circular polarization. The 10-dB impedance bandwidth of the antenna is 13.56% ranging from 3.23-3.70 GHz. The antenna provides the 3-dB axial ratio bandwidth of 5.84% in the frequency range 3.49-3.70 GHz. The antenna can be utilized in the 3.3-3.8 GHz WiMAX applications.
