Multibeam reflector antennas for space applications: Current trends and future perspectives in Europe

摘要

High gain and dense angular sampling are more and more required over moderately wide coverage by space based microwave systems. Multiple beam reflector antennas are attractive solutions since they are known to meet all these requirements that cannot be achieved by single beam antennas. Through the spectrum of the different space applications that can benefit from the unique features offered by this solution, it is proposed in this paper to review the current trends and to draw future perspectives in Europe for the multiple beam reflector antennas.
