The three-dimensional model of a belt conveyor driving drum is created and the static analysis of the drum is carried out by using the finite element analysis software. The force and deformation of the drum are obtained. By modeling, calculating and checking the driving drum, the distribution law of stress and strain is summarized, and the structural design key points of the driving drum are put forward according to the calculation results. Through the analysis of the thickness change of the strengthening ring, its influence on the stress and strain of the driving drum is summarized, as well as the changing law. The design points of the reinforcing ring are given.
