摘要

In this paper, a new interferometric cartwheel (New-ICW) is proposed for Dual-frequency Pol-InSAR application. The New-ICW constellation is composed of one active radar satellite as emission source in center and three or more micro-satellites in close configuration around flying in the same orbital plane as a received radar satellite, which we consider work as cooperative. The micro-satellite orbits are designed such that, at any time, the constellation provides more than one set large and small effective vertical baselines for interferometry by selecting the appropriate pair of satellites. Therefore the system can be used for dual-frequency interferometric, large baseline for low frequency and small baseline for high frequency. By this, it has great potential to provide global biomass estimates for the global carbon cycle. Further potential arises from a comparison of the coherence between several data acquisitions, which can be used for land classification and change detection.
