PURPOSE: A satellite clock synchronization system for a base station apparatus, and a method for synchronizing satellite clocks using the same are provided to reduce the cost by using a GPS signal in common for all base stations by one GPS antenna, and using a GPS receiving module for one base station while using clock modules for other base stations. CONSTITUTION: A GPS(Global Positioning System) antenna receives a GPS signal for synchronizing satellite clocks of BTS(Base Transceiver Station)s. A GPS receiving module(110) is installed at a first BTS apparatus(100) for extracting clock information and TOD(Time Of Day) information from the GPS signal to generate clock signals and TOD data for operating the corresponding BTS apparatus and to output the generated clock signals and TOD data to the corresponding BTS apparatus and the next corresponding BTS apparatus. A clock module(210,310) is installed at each BTS apparatus(200,300) except the first BTS apparatus(100). If receiving the clock signal and TOD data from the GPS receiving module(110) of the first BTS(100) or the previous BTS apparatus, the clock module(210,310) generates clock signals and TOD data synchronized with the clock signals and TOD data through delay compensation work with the GPS receiving module(110) of the first BTS(100) or the previous BTS apparatus to transmit the generated clock signals and TOD data.
