摘要

Rheological properties of RBCs play a critical role in the microcirculation and significantly depend on their deformability. The membrane proteins participate in the regulation of RBCs deformability. The goal of the research was investigation of the alterations of RBCs membrane proteins during different physiological and pathophysiological conditions. A peripheral blood RBCs membranes protein from healthy volunteers with type-1 diabetic patients with and without periodontitis of variable severity, before and after treatment with Laser was examined. RBCs membrane proteins were studied by electrophoresis method. Alterations of the content and the mobility of RBCs membrane proteins in persons of different sex and age with and without diseases and after Laser treatment were detected. These alterations may be considered as a marker of microcirculatory disorders pathogenetically associated with the aging and clinical course of the disease. Further studies are needed to assess whether pharmaceutical intervention to RBCs rheology can prevent or alleviate microvascular complications.
