Forming a Start-up Company from Optofluidic Technology

In this talk, I will discuss some of the challenges around forming a successful startup company based on university developed optofluidic technology. Topics that I will cover include: understanding the difference between a research project and a business opportunity, licensing, attracting early stage funding, manufacturing, product launches, importance of generating early revenue, developing partnerships, and exit strategies.
