Evaluation of Enhanced Password Authentication Using Device Stored Random Number

摘要

Password-based authentication is the most commonly used form of a user authentication, however incidents of unauthorized access continue to occur. In order to enhance the security, the authors have proposed the enhanced password authentication method using a random number stored in the user device. This paper evaluates the security of the proposed method in comparison with each authentication factor combined with a password.
