EFFECT OF SECURITY BREACHES ON OPERATING PERFORMANCE: EVIDENCE FROM FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS

摘要

The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the operating performance of financial firms thatexperienced information security attacks. Our findings suggest that breached firms experience anincrease in assets, a decrease in sales, and an increase in operating expenditure in the quarterimmediately after the security breaches.
