Resources and Development status of Chinese oil shale

摘要

In China, The oil shale resources is about 720 billion tons, equivalent to 47 billion tons shale oil. Dahuangshan oil shale is rich in organic matter, has high oil content and the TOC (total organic carbon ) is more than 10%. Exploration and evaluation have been conducted for the Dahuangshan oil shale and West Fukang oil shale located at the northern foot of Bogda Mountain, Xinjiang region, by China University of Mining and Technology and China University of Geosciences.
