In the wild, the Fox makes his living by hunting small prey. In his arsenal of hunting tools the Fox, like all his canine brethren, makes use of a very sensitive sense of smell. His nose has a sensitivity ~10~4-10~5:1 compared to a human for certain scents related to food and survival. With this SSP (Sniff Signal Processing) he can tell the difference between a coyote and a badger, a rat and a tasty field mouse, a farmer's turkey and a turkey vulture and occasionally even one of Aunt Enna's punkin pies left to cool on the window sill.
