In this study, the structural response of concrete-filled tubular FRP arch bridges to construction loads,including filling of the arch with wet concrete and backfilling the structure after the arch concrete is sufficientlycured, is assessed. Local tube buckling capacity was examined experimentally and using FEA. The effect of soilbackfilling was addressed with a nonlinear beam FE model that tracks the installation of each soil lift on alternateends of the structure.
