The choice of the theme of the European Year 2012, "Active Aging and Solidarity between Generations" draws attention to the emergence of digital literacy skills acquisition by the senior generation, as a way to encourage their full participation in a society which is increasingly technological and digital. Who would better engage the human and organizational resources at its disposal to implement a project directed to this challenge rather than an open university (a public distance learning institution dedicated to the education of adults of all ages)?
