Co-pyrolysis of forestry waste and waste tyres has been carried out in a fixed bed reactor and in an auger reactor, in order to study the influence of thefeedstock′s blends on the reactor performance and the properties of the related products. The aim of this study is to test if an improvement of theproperties of the condensable liquid fraction (less oxygen and water content and higher heating value) can be achieved when co-pyrolysis of these materialsis applied, due to the low oxygen content and high carbon content of waste tyres. Moreover, both biomass liquid and waste tyres liquids by pyrolysis are nonmiscibleliquids.
