Management of truck parking spaces availability at COFIROUTE

With the permanent will to improve quality of service on its motorway network,COFIROUTE has put in place an experimentation that consists in displaying availabilityinformation upstream the rest and services areas.One parking lot on a services area has been fully equipped with presence sensors on eachparking slot, and two dedicated variable message signs display the number of free spaces inreal time.This paper describes the context of this project, the technical solution that has been chosenand the results of the evaluation that is being carried out.
