Non-intrusive virtual loops for traffic management and enforcement in cities

Virtual-loop based technology is an above-ground solution which can contribute that citiesand authorities benefit of a more flexible and sustainable way of managing traffic andenforcing laws. An insight into the workings of this technology will be given, with focus onits application on traffic management and enforcement. We will present some of the mainfactors that this technology has to take into account, as well as standard and new functionalitythat can be given to virtual loop based detection, which contributes to its adaptation andexpansion into urban environment.
