Large size horizontal axial wind turbine tower structure was studied in this paper, some key problems such as the static strength, modal characteristics and stability which effect the tower structures were analyzed by using the finite element program SAP2000 in order to investigate the control indexes and the deformation requirements of tower structures during the process in which wind energy was transformed into electric energy, in addition the safety for tower structures was checked, the influence of various factors on tower structures was researched in order to provide reference for designing this kind of structure more safely and reasonably. On this basis, the design control index parameters of the tower structures were studied in order to provide the theoretical basis for the optimization design and the establishment of new type tower structure. The conclusions can stand on the independent intellectual property and lay foundation for setting up the design specifications and standards of this kind of high coprinus dumbbell structure.
