Time and space complexity of the HRTF algorithm is the most common restrict to use head-related transfer function (HRTF) to create VR audio on mobile terminal. This letter proposes a two-stage parametric filters model for HRTF. The minimum-phase stage models amplitude spectrum of HRTF with a chain of 2-order shelving filters. And the filter parameters are adjusted by Nelder-Mead simplex algorithm. The all-pass stage models the interaural time difference (ITD) based on correlation. Besides reducing the HRTF database size, the model with filters has better computational efficiency on audio data processing. Additionally, it provides a new way for HRTF interpolation.
