A weighted-type fractional Fourier transform (WFRFT) based multi-antenna transmission scheme with pre-equalization is proposed. The original signal is split into two composite signals which are both WFRFT component signals. After pre-equalization and delay regulation, the two composite signals are transmitted via two independent antennas. The transmitted signals, which consist of both time and frequency components, are hybrid carrier signals and have mathematical constraint relations between each other. As they have the characteristics of strong anti-interference capability and bit of energy distribution uniformity, the proposed scheme can combat multi-path fading and Doppler shift effectively over doubly selective channels. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme can achieve a significant advantage in terms of bit error rate (BER) performance, compared with space-time coded scheme.
