Overall, it would seem that because pH plays important role in modulating osteoblast activity, also affecting positively the effects of strontium and boron, attention needs to be given to the interaction of all such factors. Obviously, in the face of such synergism, simplistic single-factor exploration is insufficient, and a fuller exploration of the evidently multifactorial system is required to identify the global optimum, not merely several local optima. While such optima may be suggestive, they cannot stand alone.
