This result suggests that orientation-regulated immobilization of Jaggedl-Fc chimeric protein through a site-specific binding between protein A and Fc domain enabled Jaggedl to increase the binding efficiency for the Notch receptors and consequently enhance the activation of Notch signaling, which leads to the promoted proliferation of a cell population containing HSC ex vivo.
