Cold-rolling was applicable to the STQed Zr-14Nb alloy up to 90%. The magnetic susceptibility of the alloy decreased up to 30%, followed by slight decrease up to 90%. This may be due to formation of strain-induced ω phase. Although the increase of the co phase ratio was not clearly observed using XRD and TEM, the increase of hardness and Youg's modulus can be accounted by the ω phase formation. Plastic deformation contributes to the decrease of magnetic susceptibility of Zr-14Nb alloy as well as the processing of medical devices.
