Fabrication of antibiotic-loaded biodegradable polymer microspheres for infection control

摘要

Fabrication of PLGA microspheres loaded with different antibiotics using a single W/O/W double-emulsion protocol is feasible and ongoing work is being done to determine the antibiotic release and polymer degradation kinetics. These microspheres have the potential to provide a safer alternative for treating wound infections.
