Preparation of injectable hydroxyapatite/collagen nanocomposite as a bone filler utilizing gelation of sodium alginate

We have successfully prepared an injectable HAp/Col utilizing gelation of Na-Alg. The operability of the HAp/Col paste could control directly by P/L ratio and the molecular weight of Na-Alg. Calcium adsorption treatment on the HAp/Col particles changed coalescence behavior of the pastes. Even without hardness like conventional cements, the injectable HAp/Col could be useful for bone filler.
