We report the development of a new selective and specific electrochemical biosensor for C-Reaction Protein (CRP). The immobilization of anti-CRP modified carbon electrodes has been investigated. A cleaned carbon electrode was first immersed in the hydrocinnamic acid, 2-phenylethanethiol or phenethylamine solution, and then anti-CRP was immobilized onto the surface of the carbon electrode by the covalent bond. Element content analysis showed that sulfur, carbon or oxygen was specifically recognized on the carbon electrode surface. The measurements of cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) showed that the electrochemical response of a redox probe system (K_4[Fe(CN)_6]~(4-)/K_3[Fe(CN)_6]~(3-) were blocked, due to the procedures of modified electrode with j anti-CRP.
