Biodegradable poly-L-lactic textiles with prolonged local antibiotic or analgesic delivery

This project demonstrated the feasibility of functionalizing a PLLA visceral implant, with cyclodextrin polymer. A good in vitro cytocompatibility of the implant, the enhanced guest molecule sorption capacity and consequently a sustained biofunction were observed. In vivo studies will be performed for further confirmation of such promising potential.
