Biomaterials Enhanced Regeneration of the Human Cornea: From Bench to Bedside

We have shown that biointeractive materials can be developed into corneal implants that stimulate the patient or host corneas to regenerate. These are promising alternatives to donor human corneal tissues. However, this is only one approach and there are many approaches which range from keratoprostheses to the injection of stem cells.
