In-situ encapsulation of hydrogels in ultrafine fibers by electrospinning for controlled release

摘要

Chitosan hydrogels could be in situ encapsulated in the fibers in a discontinuous manner. The hydrophilicity, encapsulation efficiency and release behaviour of the membranes could be improved. This method may promise a new aqueous reservoir for encapsulation and controlled release of bioactive agents.
