The 3D monolayers and tethered spheroids were able to maintain 3D hepatocyte morphology, transporter localization, and CYP activities and inducibilities. The membrane-based 3D hepatocyte models can be easily integrated into the well-plate formats without drug absorption problem for high throughput drug screening.
