摘要

The vertical stiff ener connection between concretefilled square steel tubular columns (CFSSTCs) and steel beams has good static and seismic behaviour, but it is not recommended by "Technical specification for structures with concrete-filled rectangular steel tube members" (CECS159:2004) and the study on the joint is seldom. Based on the bearing performance of vertical stiff ener connection, the design method of vertical stiffener connection between concrete-filled square steel tubular columns and steel beams was studied and the load capacity expressions of joint were deduced. The research work will be helpful for practical engineering and provide reference to national specification's stipulation.
