摘要

This paper describes the analysis, design and construction of a prestressed steel truss roof. In this structure, high strength steel tendons are attached to the lower joints of the truss and the ends of the tendons are anchored on the top edge joints of the truss. Post-tensioning of the tendons leads to upward deformations of the truss. These deformations are opposite to the downward deformations from roof loading, and are thus beneficial to the structure. This prestressing technique leads to an optimal steel roof structure which is light and economical.
