South-North Water Diversion Project inevitably shall exert great influence on the ecological environment of Haihe River Basin.This paper studies the ecological environment of different hydrologic units such as ground water,streams,lakes and estuaries in the Intake Area in Haihe River Basin under different water diversion conditions.Based on the research achievements in China and abroad,this paper establishes the evaluation index system from the hydrologic,physicochemical and biological perspectives and analyzes the influence of South-North Water Diversion Project on the ecological environment in the Intake Area in Haihe River Basin.The analysis shows that after the launch of SouthNorth Water Diversion Project,the hydrologic characteristics and the river water quality of the main rivers,lakes and wet lands in the Intake Area in Haihe River Basin change significantly.The deep ground water funnel rebounds to some extent.The ecological conditions at the estuary change for the better gradually.
