Study on Efficient Long-Term Water Saving Mechanism in Irrigation Region of the Lower Yellow River

摘要

Since early 1950s,people began to irrigate using the Yellow river water in the lower River regions which include 23 cities of Henan and Shandong Provinces.Nowadays,the Yellow River water has been used for irrigation,industry and city life.The contradiction between water supply and demand in the lower Yellow River is becoming sharper and sharper.The reasons include two parts which are the unreasonable proportion and lower efficiency of water consuming in the lower Yellow River Basin.Therefore,it is urgent to define reasonable water demand of irrigation and make series of laws and regulations which are aimed at establishing long-term water saving mechanism for irrigation regions of the lower Yellow River.Aiming at water supply of irrigation region in the lower Yellow River,the article analyses current status and the key issues.Then the article presents some mechanism and guideline to save water permanently in irrigation region in the lower Yellow River.
