The calcium signaling plays an important role in expansion and contraction of Myocytes. This calcium signaling is achieved by diffusion of calcium and buffering mechanisms in cardiac myocytes. In this paper an attempt has been made to develop model calcium signaling in myocytes incorporating diffusion of calcium and excess buffers. The model has been developed for a two dimensional steady state case. Appropriate boundary conditions have been framed. The finite element method has been employed to obtain the solution. The numerical results have been used to study the effect of buffers on calcium distribution in Myocytes.
