@@Melamine cyanurate (MCA) has been used widely in the field of polyamide engineering plastics'1*21. However, there are some shortages for MCA in the application in flame-retardant nylon 6. Firstly, MCA was ineffective in reinforcing nylon 6 for the wick effect. Secondly, the presence of MCA will result in the inevitable decreasing of the mechanical properties of nylon 6 composites. Therefore the modification of MCA and its combination with other flame retardant materials were always hot topics. In this paper MCA flame retardants (FRs) were in situ prepared and modified in water media using GO sol as a modification agent.
