Unusual Electro-Optical Behavior of Wide-Temperature Blue Phase Ⅱ Device

摘要

An electro-optical response of a wide-temperature blue phase Ⅱ cell is demonstrated in this study. From the reflection spectra of the cell, the temperature range of BPII in our cell is about 6 °C. After applying an in-plan field, from the reflected spectrum, two phenomena are seen: wavelength shift and wider reflection band. The response is less than a few ms.
