This paper examines experimentally the effect of wall normal jets, generated by slotted vortex generators, in compressible flow at Mach numbers M_∞ = 0.3 - 0.7. The measurements were performend in the Trisonic Windtunnel Munich. The momentum coefficient is used to quantify the actuator efficiency. It is calculated from mean velocity fields provided by Particle Image Velocimetry measurements. The influence of the velocity ratio, the boundary layer thickness, the distance between actuators and the Mach number on the momentum coefficient is analyzed.
