(1) The coastline must be retained as a national asset with public access maintained.(2) The effect of climate change and sea-level rise will impact on the severity and frequency of future storms, which should be studied for different types of coastlines.(3) Low profile coasts need protection, nourishment or retreat to behind a set-back line.
