In this paper, a Hardware in Loop Simulator system designed for verification of onboard electronics and control strategy for cooperative missions of MAVs is presented. Such a platform can be used for testing various control algorithms subjected to realistic constraints that apply on real MAVs. Bearing in mind the systems engineering ethos, a top down approach has been adopted for development and verification of cooperative missions using a HILS system. The main essence of research is to develop an elegant system with the ability to simulate multiple aircraft with the available resources. This eases the work of synchronisation and setting up systems. Another important issue covered is the inter-aircraft communication. Due to the presence of multiple MAVs sharing same signal bandwidth, data collision is inevitable. This paper also discusses a technique to overcome this issue.
